Not sure if this was covered anywhere before - couldn't find anything. I was looking at the Bigfoot 5 threads - #13 - #7/ Bigfeet (stupid), and it reminded me of #7.
If #7 was built specifically for Roadhouse - WHY DON"T THE DOORS MATCH?
Anybody have any info on this? It's always bothered me. I need closure. Thanks in advance - "ease his pain"

im going to speculate and say instead of repainting the doors, they just replaced them with ones painted in a similar color.

I kinda made sense out of that, but my boggle is - if it was built for the movie, wouldn't they have sprayed the blank doors at the same time as the rest of the truck was painted, and the "Bigfoot" doors have been painted at a later date? (Rather than visey versey) Orrrr.....add the lettering to those doors, orrrrr.....paint two sets of doors at the same time?

I know it's really not a big deal - panels get replaced, colors don't always match, especially metallics. But to the casual (OCD) observer, in the movie it's a big blue monster truck with doors that don't match.

I'm gonna go watch it again. I may have confused myself in that first paragraph.

i doubt it was much of an issue, because the whole truck had to be repainted after the scene was shot anyway

You are all wrong!!! This truck was built for this movie and the paint actually came out that way, we had no time to repaint it. Looked like crap, I know. No letters was because of R rating. Back then with steel bodies several parts were painted at different times, two-tone Tommy layed it down. We actually had a truck, 6 or 7 that had two tone paint (light around wheel openings etc. and dark in between)very light, RBC wanted BF blue or nothing. How times change huh? I actually worked that movie along with Police Academy 6, and Tango and Cash. Bob C. and myself did a river scene that got cut out, (we almost lost the truck) Stunt guys also broke tranny in one scene and we had to pull a long night trying to figure out how to get it out since it was so new! RBC actually hoisted the tranny on his back so that we could get it into place. Good times there!!!! I say with a laugh.

Very, Very sutile (spell)? It was regular BF Blue All over except for around the fenders and door area, kind of like a outline. jim Kramer wanted something different and that was a way to sneak it past Bob! The color Bigfoot Blue was a actual paint code with RM Dupont paint when we ordered it!
