I was thinking we should start a thread for scans of magazine articles, show programs, and other paper media as I've seen many in my travels through the forum. I thought it would be nice to have all documents in one thread, an "old school library" so to speak. :D
I'll start off...
Heavy Metal (found on builder Mike Trinagel's autobody shop website, missing the rest of the article):

Seems like the last time this tried to happen, there was a big issue with people not wanting to share their treasures, which is understandable. People pay good money for the old pics and articles. I don't mind seeing them though! :D

Cyclops, scanned by theace27 from an old USHRA program
That is actually out of Monster Trucks 2 published by Four Wheeler magazine. The old USHRA programs did have reprints of many Four Wheeler articles. Steve

I thought it would be cool :D. Hopefully we'll get some takers, but I can understand the hesitation from users in scanning more rare materials. Don't forget though, nothing beats having the original copy! A digital scan is not the same thing by any stretch.
This is more for just cool articles that you think us old school fans would enjoy, not necessarily scans of entire magazines/programs/documents. :)

I have some stuff that I think would be good to go here from the Outlaw Truck and Tractor Pullers program. If I remember correctly I have some Guy Wood photos as well as some others. I need to find them and get them here.

i wonder why they didn't feature the flip top body on Outlaw 35 in that photoshoot? seems like the first thing i'd show off.

yep, it sure was a flip top, at least at some point in its life. I don't have a picture of it but i've definatly seen it on here. Outlaw 35 was a beautiful truck, so cool to see old iron like that and Yukon Jack as monster trucks. total waste of monster truck history now.... back to where it came

At that point when the 4wheel article came out Outlaw 35 wasn't a flip top truck. It wasn't until after Kenny broke the truck in half in the Superdome that it was made over into a flip top. It was at that point that he built a straight rail frame for it. I know I have a picture of Outlaw 35 with the body flipped up on it.

I've got the original color photos from that shoot, framed in a picture in my office.
It looks like we're nearing a decison on the Cyclops rebuild- and that will be good for me. I've got a lot going on here, and with another recent purchase- I'd want to get "Old One Eye" en route to restoration.
Excellent scans!!

Actually Shawn, I didn't know Outlaw 35 was a flip top truck until last year when those pictures of it currently in Finland surfaced. I had never seen the flip top configuration on that truck until I saw those pics and then someone posted that picture after I had asked about it. I can't recall who posted it but I don't want to take their credit. However it would be nice to see some more pictures for Outlaw 35 from that point in time.

Hey Steve, awesome man!! I know it is only a drawing but it looks like it was drawn from a actual picture of the truck. I am wondering if right after Kenny broke the frame on Outlaw 35 that he repaired it and added the flip top. Then later down the road he built a straight rail frame for it. Thanks for sharing that.
