If Monster Wars wasn't on the air in 1994, then does anyone know who won the show that is seen on disc 1 of "The History of MTs @ the Pontiac Silverdome?

This is what we see on the DVD:
Bearfoot defeated Executioner
Taurus defeated Monster Patrol
Excaliber defeated Moving Violation
Carolina Crusher defeated Nitemare 2
Wildfire defeated Grave Digger, but flipped after crossing the finish line.
Kodiak defeated Predator

RD. 2
Taurus defeated King Krunch (how'd he get there?)
Excaliber defeated Executioner (fast loser)
Bear Foot defeated Monster Patrol (fast loser #2)
Grave Digger defeated Carolina Crusher (didn't Gary flip during this race?)
Kodiak defeated Equalizer

RD. 3
Excaliber defeated Taurus

And that's all we see on the disc.

Who else was at this big battle?

I think Feld should release a 2-disc set of Monster Jam action from the mid-90s, covering the years 1994, 1995 and 1996. We've seen what happened in Pontiac, but I want to see what happened in cities like Minneapolis, St. Louis, Atlanta, New Orleans, Tampa, Chicago, San Diego, Irving, Jacksonville, Amahiem, Seattle, and my neck of the woods, Houston. All they'd have to do is avoid showing Bigfoot. "Monster Jam: The Mid '90s." I'd buy it.

Eric Meagher debuted the '95 "splash" scheme at this show, and ended up in the wall. I'd guess that this is how KK got into round 2? Or maybe it happened later in the event. It's tough to say when they don't show the whole event and conveniently edit out certain competitors from the footage.

I think the Carolina Crusher flip you're thinking of was from the other 1994 Pontiac event. There was another show in Pontiac that year which had yellow car sets, with Grave Digger, Carolina Crusher, and Overkill in attendance, judging from footage I've seen of it. I think the '94 show on the Pontiac DVD was the fall show, due to the pumpkins and other similar items decorating the track, while the show where Crusher flipped was the winter/spring event.

Wasn't that from the 1995 Pontiac event? The show where Grave Digger had the "flying-leap" roll against Bear Foot in the finals.

Could be, I can't really remember since I haven't seen the footage in a while. Maybe it was the new '96 front clip that he was debuting and wadded up at the '95 show.

That sounds like the accident at the 1996 PENDA season opener in the RCA Dome, when Meagher ran into the wall at the end of the track, racing Eric Tack in Dungeon of Doom. I think that was the debut of the new '96 front clip.

The '95 Bigfoot accident in Pontiac occurred in the semis, I think, when Meagher was racing Bear Foot (the truck had the "splash" scheme on the older-style Ford body). He pulled a wheelie off of one of the dirt hills in the first straight, drifted to the left, and hit the wall at the side of the floor. If I remember correctly, Executioner hit the wall in the same lane earlier in the event.

Yeah that was the one I was referring to - I thought it was the old body but like I said it's been so long that I don't remember.

Yeah, 'Foot crashed in the Silverdome in 1995. That is how Bear Foot advanced to the finals with Grave Digger.

Pauken was on his game that night. I was just asking if any1 knew what happened to Digger, Bear Foot and Kodiak.

I remember going to a show back in 94 where they had like an east vs west type of deal. I was pretty young so the details are sketchy. If I remember correctly it was also the championship for the series. I know bigfoot was there cause I got runtes autograph and the truck was wearing the yellow/red stripe paint job. All the big names for the time were there totaling 16 trucks, 8 for each side. Im not positive but i think the final was digger vs taurus with taurus winning.

I was at the event your talking about. It was set to be the second Monster Wars world finals. There were 16 or 20 trucks and it was billed as east vs west and had two separate race brackets. The trucks I remember are Dan Runte in the yellow and red stripe Bigfoot 14, Dennis in Grave Digger, Porter in Crusher, Schafer in Bearfoot, Mike Welch in Moving Violation, David Morris in Equalizer, Schafer in Monster Patrol, Scott Stevens in King Krunch, Overkill don't remember the driver, Mark Bendler in Kodiak, Elden in Taurus, Charlie in Excaliber, Mark Hall in Executioner, Wildfire, Pezo in Predator and Gary Bauer in Nitemare. I remember Taurus won his bracket over Bigfoot in the Finals and Grave Digger won his but I don't remember who he raced. At the end of the show they had the two winners race and Taurus beat Grave Digger who broke before the first turn. This show was one of my favorites of all time which is how I remember so much from it. Plus I have some pictures. Wish there were shows like that with all of the top trucks in the country and two race brackets these days.

I sat probably 2 sections over from you at that show. I have an almost duplicate of the first picture.

Digger rolled over in dramatic fashion, not sure what round... maybe finals in the left lane. Turning right got up on two wheels, over corrected, truck spund back left still high siding on two wheels, then the right side came down, rear digs into ground catapuliting digger into a nose heavy spiral of a crash landing on its lid. I will never forget it. I have been to every single silverdome show since 88 or 89. i have a pictrue somwhere of digger after they flipped it back over and had it up against the wall. my brothers and i walked down to the rail after the show and took pictures of it from about 10 feet away. good memoreis at the silverdome. which by the way... is open again. lets get some promoters in there for some more monster truck racing! They had one show in 2010 as the reopening of the dome.. but nothing since.

If I am not mistaken, that Wildfire is now Rob French's second truck, which was just re-bodied and renamed back to Wildfire. It had run more recently as Bulletproof and Dragon Fly. Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I am fairly certain this is correct.

Colby, IIRC that wildfire was buffalo tremor #3 and eventualy became the first american guardian. the chassis your thinking of was the one that had the toyota wildfire body on it.
