Jim Hochstatter owns it. He farms AND lives in Sublette, Illinois. That's also where the truck is stored. The guy who drives it occassionally, may be originally from elsewhere, but the truck is based out of Illinois. This is only a few miles from the home of Hank's 4x4 Jamboree. This is where Jim has lived for MANY years, if not his entire life.

Well hey,why dont you use all of your monster truck knowledge and all of your money and build your own monster truck and then you might have something! Oh thats right, you talk a big talk but you cant back this one up can you!
A) Who said I wanted a truck?
B) I don't have to own a monster truck to know about monster trucks, that's a huge fallacy, and either way it's not pertinent to the topic at hand.
C) At least you made it out of the first round in Rupp Arena. I wasn't posting to step on your toes and I'm sorry I did, but perhaps you should use this as a taste of how fans feel about your truck? Odds are you don't remember who I am or was, but I did stop by to talk with you some during the pit party. I appreciate the hard work that you put into your truck and I do trust that you take a lot of pride in it...but I've seen you perform twice now and both times were lackluster to put it nicely. I'm sorry, that isn't MY fault. I'm not expecting a Grave Digger level freestyle or Jimmy Creten racing...but SOMETHING would be nice. Believe me, I'd love to claim a truck in my home state.

November 25th, 2007, 06:07 PM
I agree with you on Rupp.I was not happy at all,but parts break and all you can do is pick up the pieces and go on.As far as the second show I can only guess that it was a Pro-Shows and that sometimes you just have to run the way that they tell you to run.I dont agree with it ,but they are the ones that sign the checks.
I never said that you have to own a truck to know about them. There are alot of people out there that have alot of knowledge about trucks. Some even have more knowledge than some owners. If you did own a truck though, you would take offence to someone bashing you after you work your butt off.We are definetly not a LN truck, nor do I do this for a living,or have deep pockets to build trucks, but we try.Obviously this is not enough for some.If you do not enjoy watching us,than please do not come out and watch us run.For those of you that do enjoy watching us,THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!
As for meeting us at Rupp, thank you for taking your time to stop by and say hello. We really love meeting new people and trying to answer questions and just hang out and tell stories.
Thunder Chicken
November 25th, 2007, 06:21 PM
Listen, I've got respect for most anyone that owns a truck and goes out there and does their thing. From reading what you say there, it sounds like it's more of a hobby than anything else for you. Further more, I highly suspect a big reason Live Nation booked you for Rupp Arena was because you were the "hometown" guy and that show was testing the waters in that market. Either way, that was the 2nd time I've seen you perform and the 2nd time I've felt it was lackluster. I recognize that parts break and I suspect that was a big factor for that night in Lexington...but what about the time before that in Freedom Hall? (btw, do you know who promotes those shows? The whole thing was a let down, really.) Listen man, I'm not here to step on your toes and I'm really sorry if I came across as more abrasive than I intended to towards you and your team and all of your hard work. And like I said too, I'm not expecting you to be Jimmy Creten or Tom Meents or all wild and crazy. But you've got to get the fans at least a LITTLE more excited to build that fan base. Once you get your name out there more, you'll get more bookings sure fire. *shrugs* ****, you may really enjoy just doing it as a hobby and crushing a few cars here and there for places. If so, more power to ya' and whatever makes you happy y'know? All I'm saying is, if you're wanting to do more and bigger shows, then from a fan's perspective you've gotta step up your game.
Where abouts in Kentucky are you, btw? If you're not too far, I'd love to stop by sometime and get a little more hands on with a monster truck and learn a thing or two. I'm always willing to listen and learn from guys that know more than me. All I offer is a fan's perspective. That night, there were plenty of people that wasn't taking you seriously. Man, I was all up IN those stands rooting you on BECAUSE you were the hometown guy. Y'just gotta give the fans something more to get excited about, that's all I'm sayin'.

NJ has Viper, NY has Aftershock
Does anybody have a picture of Viper? I was driving at work today & swore I saw a monster truck trailer go by heading towards the NJ turnpike but it went by so fast that all i could make out was what looked to like a yellow/blue striped/colored trailer & I swore it said Viper on the side.
I tried to find some pics of Viper but couldn't & I know that truck is supposed to be from NJ. Is it supposed to be at the Philly, Pittsburgh, or Ct show?
The highway it was travelling on was sort of out of the way if it was heading towards the NJ turnpike (I-95); it was heading North from the South.
any help, b/c it's driving me crazy! thanks!

Thanks for the pictures......but I guess it wasn't Viper, this trailer was a bright yellow w/some blue.....maybe it was Aftershock or maybe it was some kind of other carrier.....but it had silver double doors on the back that went from top to bottom & it was made w/the bottom lower in the middle; definitely was carrying some kind of truck.....is Aftershock supposed to be in Philadelphia or was it somewhere south this past weekend?
