That's it for this round, no more votes please.
Welcome to the big show!
As some of you may or may not know, I started a thread asking if anyone is interested in doing a little bit of a freestyle video competition using the Stuntman game.
http://www.monstermayhem.org/forums/...ead.php?t=5925
I have 6 freestyle videos this round and I'd like to have the members vote on their favorite run out of the 6. As a special feature, Jetmonkeyj has put together some how to videos that can help you out playing the game. Also, CIDRA racer has put together a tuff truck run that I'll post. Because I'm getting a late start on this post today, voting will be left on throughout the weekend and I'll keep it open through Monday as well, and announce the winner at midnite, central time.
The rules:
This isn't a popularity contest. Like at a real event, we would like it if you voted on the run that you think deserves the win.
There isn't a set design on any of the tracks. The point of that is to allow the contestants to show of their creative abilities and give others ideas to try out on their own. I was also hoping that voters could post up what they thought of their favorite run and also state who had a more appealing track layout and used their space wisely.
There's no way to enforce this, but I would like it if the viewer would determine when the run hits 2 minutes and judge by what they've seen up to that point. Anything after that is pretty much entertainment for the viewer while we finish the truck off. I noticed on the WF's DVD that they don't start time untill the first obstacle is hit, but that's just personal preference to the viewer. The judging time is now 2 minutes.
Don't judge just by the fact that someone has music or not. I gave the competitors the option to add music only if they wanted to. Like in my case, I wanted to add music because otherwise you'd be listening to just the static from my camera.
As far as I know, the general understanding from the drivers is to make the run as believable as possible, flip for good and the run is over, yada yada. I just wanted to make sure that's clear.
I'd like to make this an ongoing thing, so anyone who's interested, please feel free to let me know in the original thread.
Also, if you have the time after voting, I would like it if you stated why you chose the run you did, comment on people's track layouts, and state where you'd like to see the others improve.
I may edit this post a little if I'm forgetting some of the rules that we agreed on. I'll post this then the vids in a 2nd post to make sure the poll works.
