View Full Version : Duraliner Gaint/Uncle Slam

July 23rd, 2008, 10:30 AM
Hey guys came across these pics from Mad Man Motorsports website and thought I would post them. They are the guys who own the old Duraliner Giant truck. Awesome to see them using the truck, would be cool to see it re-painted and done up like the Giant. Looks like the truck hasn't been altered very much. Awesome to see out in the public again. Enjoy.

I had the chance to sit in the cab of that truck when it was at charlie paukens place. The interior is untouched, and still has the custom upholstery!

I think the engine is still set up high in it, just it not having the super charger on it makes it look lower then what we are use to seeing of the Giant. Judging from the pics, I bet it wouldn't be a hard resto to do. Just strip it and repaint. It would look so cool to see a set of 73's back on it. I agree with you Shawn, that would be one of the coolest trucks to own. I always like it better when it had the 86 style body on it though.

I'm just happy this beauty isn't rotting away. Any interior shots of the truck? I would love to see that supercharger engine back in the engine bay.

They really need to have it look like the original Giant with the Carbs sitting 6 inches ABOVE the roof

No shots of the interior. I should try and get ahold of these guys again and make a day trip over to their place to see the truck in person. If it were me and I owned Uncle Slam I would be restoring the truck like the way it was in 1987 with the 86 Ford body on it. I do believe that it has the original cab and doors, all they would need to do if find a nice 86 Ford front clip and box. I would also have to have a set of 73's on the truck agian plus the big super charger and Predators.

Yahoo!!! My 1000th post!!!

i will say repaint the truck to Duraliner Giant, a supercharger just a small one since its a show truck it doesnt need the hourse power and 2 Predators and Zoomies insted of those nasty looking stacks and keep the 66s and the 91 front clip
