    Hey, I just thought I would get back to you and let you know you were right about the NHRA speed trap. I found the article, Car and Driver May '91 and the change that it referred to was when they started measuring the speed over the last 60 feet. It was done to report lower speeds due to insurance concerns. For whatever reason, I missremembered that as being from the 1000 ft mark instead of the last 60 ft. Just thought I'd let you know.
