Customize 1:24 truck?

Can someone tell me how to take the roll cage off of the chassis on the 1:24 size hot wheels trucks? I don't want to damage either the chassis or the roll cage.

Any advice appreciated.

Use wire cutters or flush cut pliers and just snip it off where you want. The plastic they use is very soft. An xacto knife will do it.

I have customized a few, the easiest way is to take a flathead screw driver and pry up. you will hear a pop, that is it popping out of place.
