I'm interested in seeing what comes of this as well.
In order to make things work these show need to be the best they possibly can be!
1. Think Safety! Safety holds/plastic at ALL venues. Make it nice and neat. Make sure everyone is in their prope places on the floor. Probably going to be running up to 4 shows a weekend first quarter so they need to make sure this is in order.
2. Have the two tours under one banner! Monster X Tour and Monster Truck Thunderslam under the Monster Truck Entertainment banner. 2 Monster X shows and 2 Thunderslams roughly each weekend first quarter.
3. Balance all of these events out. With this merger you'll have the El Paso, San Angelo, Abilene, TX markets added to the Lubbock TX market. Practically the entire West Texas region. Divide the shows up among the two tours. Similar examples of this are the shows AMP has done in Jonesboro, AR/Corinth MS/Midsouth Region and the IN and NY shows.
4. Be sure and have complete line ups at these shows. Maybe a set tour for each of the weekends shows. I know stuff happens and things can change last minute, but try and organize it in such a way where this doesn't occur often if any at all.
5. No Lies, Exaggerations, BS etc
Example:
Bad Advertising:
Line Up Featuring :
Rock Star : 5 Time World Champion!!!!!!!!!!
The General: Straight Outta Hazzard County !!!!!!!!!!!
Reptoid: If He Gets Stuck ....YOU Can help get him off!!!!!!!!!
And more
Good Advertising:
Line Up Includes: BIGFOOT, Bounty Hunter, Rockstar, Titan, Unnamed and Untamed and more!
*Note maybe a Original Monster Truck mention for Foot and Mentioning of Monster Truck Mafia would be fine.
5. With this merger you'll have a pretty good roster of trucks coming out. Probably up to 4 BIGFOOT trucks, Straight Up Racing, Sturges Motorsports, Rettew Motorsports, Viper, Toxic and many others . Divide Em' Up Nicely!
I don't claim to be a big know it all, detective etc person, BUT, For a guy who helps out with alot of the big promotions the above should be common sense for every promotor. All I'm trying to do is help out . I hope everything works out with this merger! It should be fun to watch and I recommend people to go out and see these shows!

Jason Twite Is To Monster Trucks What Steve Bartman Is To The Chicago Cubs....
He was clearly joking around. I thought it was hilarious lol But his point definitely got across. I agree with everything Ryan said there. I'm excited to see what comes of this merger!
Not trying to be Mr. negative but I can't get excited about this idea. I'm all for expansion of promoters but this just doesn't seem that great. Monster X is a great promotion by itself even though there are some issues. Amp is a different story though. What has Amp really done since they started? They've existed. Honestly it might just be because it feel like at this point I've heard this same song and dance a million times now. Someone new or old come out and says they're going to revolutionize the industry and it goes no where.

Where did they say they would revolutionize the industry? The whole "new and higher level" thing? What did you want them to say? "This is gonna be average"? EDIT: This could allow trucks into markets they haven't run before. That is always a good thing, and to me, constitutes a "new and higher level". I like seeing trucks I have never seen before.

I never said I was quoting the press release. I also didn't say they were wrong for talking themselves up. I understand why they do that. My point is over the years I've seen things like this and have gotten excited but it always seems that in the end it's a let down.
If it were Monster X and and another prominent company like Monster Nationals combining maybe I could see it coming together. In all honesty I think it's just going to be the same old events.

Well...
What I am digging for, is what, exactly, is your beef with this specific situation? No one from either organization is making any specific, lofty promises. So, what about this SPECIFIC situation lead you to write what you did above? You say you have seen things like this and gotten excited. When has this ever happened to give you a precedent to base that on?
