    Scott Kalitta Killed In Funny Car Crash At Englishtown

    No official word on NHRA.com, but it's all over the 'net. The DHL Toyota blew an engine, erupted into flames and went airborne when it hit the sand traps and netting at the top end. Another sad day for the drag racing industry, but that kinda thing happens.

    did they show it on tv? im just wondering...dont take that as...ooo crash i wanna see...thats not the case... it happended on a taped delayed televised event...how they handled it interests me...

    I Just found out. As a Fan of the Kalitta's, i am very sad. Scott was one of my favorites back in the 1990's. He will be forever missed.
