History of EXCALIBER

[EXCALIBER4X4]

Excaliber was the very first CAD designed monster truck, with emphesis on suspension and design. Dave Marquart and Mike Nickell were ex-motorcross racers, who knew how important suspension was while going over obsticles. Mike's street truck was transformed into Excaliber by 1984. The truck was sold shortly after the team built the race truck.

Excaliber 1, throughout its various stages...

Let's start with the original CAD design of the truck before it was even built,..... This drawling is dated 1984...You bigfoot fans take note!....




Here's a rare shot of Mike Nickell's Chevy long bed before it became Excaliber, it ran on 40" boggers and was a part of the Toledo Hy-Rollers 4x4 club.


Excaliber's Frame being assembled, everything was done per Dave's Cad drawling, If you have ever seen this truck in person, it's a real work of art.

Hey pal, I am not Shawn Hunsucker.....so look at who is posting first before you post your message...

First, just about all the images you have are copied from copyrighted sources,...so what gives you the right??

Second, do you have exclusive rights to the name of excaliber? or are you allowed to post pictures of the truck or its likeness? I know you sell merch at times, do you give a kickback to any of the respective teams?

Third, I have tried to contact you on several occasions, only to never recieve an answer back, so I have little respect for someone that has no time to give a simple email back.

Fourth, I find it funny that the only activity you create on this site is drama, and never contribute to threads like these that honest, generous fans create to pass time or make others think and smile...

I find it interesting that you are taking all this time to throw your weight around here when you basically have no reputation outside of your site...which I might add created problems for the model monster truck build-off....Is that still going on??

I think if anyone has rights to Excaliber it would be the person who has the truck name as their user name. Secondly Danny is more connected with that truck than everyone else except for Tim, Chucky and Dave.

Last time I checked it costs a pretty good amount of money to have something trademarked, so if you shelled out all that coin then you have a complaint.

When Chuck was driving it and the Thunder Nationals came to Chattanooga, he let me sit up in the cab! As a 9 year old kid, you could well imagine that I thought that was the coolest thing ever.

That truck used to dominate the Thunder Nationals.
