Ok guys so what are some other good 3rd members to use with the Clarks, besides the infamous F106? I know we were talking about a Dana (from a f450-550) but they are new and seem to be very expensive to get. What else is out there??? thanks Kyle

The D135 is aprox the same size as the 106, the H140 is a little bigger and the 172 is larger yet. Sooner or later we are going to start using them if someone does not start building replacement 106 components. We are not the only ones using them. These other rears were out of many misc trucks, 450-750 fords and 60-70 chevys and I am sure dodges and 13 letter $hit spreaders. I have a truck salvage yard near me and when the snow starts to leave I will be looking for you guys! Chad

dana 135 is whats in the rear of 550s ive built a few for customers and they seem to be a **** of a lot stronger in certain areas than 106s. **** even a pinion on a dana 80 is bigger than a 106..

I don't own these axles, the ones the numbers came off of were quotes I found on forums. I'd have to check the old forum, my hard drive crapped out so I lost a lot of pictures. No pics of 172s though, just 106s. Christian
