Hey guys, here's my Blue Clod as it sits today. I recently upgraded it with a CCP chrome chassis and eight Associated aluminum gold shocks. I took it out for some backyard bashing and filmed it in slow motion. Hope you like it.

Tony, the truck looks awesome man!!! Pure old skool!!! How come you went away from the RC4wd shocks? Those going on your retro truck that you are building? Seeing this video makes me want to get my 3 trucks finished. I gotta get back on them.

Thanks Mike! It means a lot to hear that you like my Clod. To answer your question, I still have the RC4WD shocks. After changing over to the chrome chassis, I decided to complete the look with more "bling". Also, I inverted them because there's a photo of Bigfoot 1 with the shocks in that exact position. It gives it a more realistic look. And those shocks actually increased the ride height giving the Clod much more suspension travel. At the moment, I'm finishing up collecting the parts I need for my current truck which will be outrageous. I've already started amassing some stuff for my retro truck as well which promises to be one of a kind (hopefully). For sure you should get on your builds. I want to see them! Do eeeet!

Tony, I had the same idea as you mounting the shocks upside down to make them look more real. The Miss All American retro truck that I am working on uses a stock Clod chassis and some short RC-10 shocks, which I mounted upside down, they are short enough that I could mount them at the actual frame rail on the stock Clod chassis. They mounted up really nice!!! I am also thinking I will run my Aces High shocks upside down too. Looking forward to seeing more of your builds.

By the way do you have any spare Hilux interiors hanging around? I want to get one for my Stomper Bully. Thanks.

Hey Mike, unfortunately I don't have any interiors. You might try some scale shops like RC4WD or Dinky RC http://new.dinkyrc.com/ . I've seen some pop up on the 'bay from time to time. Do you have any photos of your Miss All American? I would very much like to see your shock setup. My current build promises to be epic. I found some really cool shocks that seem to be perfect for that old school look. I just wish there was a way to mount like 24 of 'em. :D

Nice Truck love the chrome chassis. I must ask, where did you get those headers, I might have to get a set for my Jugg and Ground Pounder

Thanks my friend. You can find these headers here:

http://www.bartspartsrc.com/RC10ElectricSprintCarConv.html

They typically go on RC10 type sprint car conversions, but I saw someone put them on a Clod and I had to get some. You can also pick up a set of Losi Slider headers:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Losi-Header-Set-Chrome-Slider-/160778527374?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item256f25a28e#ht_3015wt_980

Those are cool because they're chrome and match the Clod's supercharger intake perfectly.

Take care.

That is a very cool Clod Buster you got there. The USA-1 tires fits nicely with the look of the truck.

That last photo is the best.
